On SRP?
SRP pays $75 per ton on a single stage system, $150 on two stage and $225 on variable speed, for systems rated 15.2 SEER2 or higher. On a 3 ton variable-speed system that’s $675 back. We handle the paperwork.
July and August on-peak power costs 40.20¢ per kWh, versus 6.61¢ super off-peak (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.). A two stage or variable speed system runs gentler through the evening peak, so two-stage and inverter systems pay you back on every summer bill.
Single-stage gets you dependable cooling for the least money up front. Without peak pricing, the extra efficiency of two stage takes longer to pay you back.
Queen Creek homes we see every week
Each system is priced on its own, so you can replace the ones that are due and keep the rest running.
Replace only what you need. Price the one that quit today and the other when you’re ready, each with its own price.
A fast, tidy replacement, a set price before you pay, and one phone number for anything you need afterward.
Even newer systems fail. If yours is out of warranty, our installed price is often less than a major repair quote on an old-style system.
Attic installs have their own set price, shown before you pay, so there are no add-ons on install day.
Single-stage is usually the smart buy: our most affordable option for dependable cooling, with the same installers and warranties. A new system with a 10 year parts warranty is a selling point in your listing.
| 3 ton | Smaller Queen Creek homes, 1,200 to 1,800 square feet |
|---|---|
| 4 ton | Typical 2,000 to 2,500 square foot builder homes |
| 5 ton | Large homes of 2,500 to 3,500 square feet |
The size on your current system’s label is the best starting point. In a two-story home, each floor’s system is sized on its own.
Before you replace
All of Queen Creek is SRP, so replacing an existing system with a qualifying one earns $75 to $225 per ton. New construction doesn’t qualify; replacements do.
Ovation’s association requires approval for exterior changes, so check your CC&Rs before the install. Your installer can work around the approval date.
An original system there is about 20 years old, past the 10 to 13 years a Valley AC typically lasts.
Compare it line for line: equipment, installation, warranties and what’s left out.
Repair or replace?
A Queen Creek system usually lasts 10 to 13 years, because it runs hard most of the year. One that has made it past 18 has done its job, and repairs at that age tend to come in bunches.
If yours still runs on R-22 refrigerant, a leak is where repair stops making sense: that refrigerant is no longer made, and recharges keep getting more expensive. A failed compressor on an old system points the same way.
Repair still makes sense on a system under about 7 years old when the fix is small and doesn’t involve refrigerant or the compressor.

Usually replace. Systems here typically last 10 to 13 years because they run hard most of the year. A refrigerant leak on an R-22 system or a failed compressor on an old unit is a replacement decision. Repair makes sense on a system under about 7 years old when the fix is small.
